Lincoln Parish could be in for some heavy rainfall tonight and Thursday in advance of a cold front that’s beginning to make its way across the country.

Kip Franklin, director of Lincoln Parish Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, said this morning that though the chance of severe weather still exists, the threat appears to be lessening.

“It’ just going to be a typical cold front coming through,” Franklin said.

The National Weather Service predicts a 60 percent chance of rain tonight and a 100 percent chance of rain on Thursday.
