Citizens left uncomforted by city

Monday night, Sept. 9, my husband and I went to the Ruston City Council meeting because we were concerned about the unconstitutional wording in part of the building code ordinance (sec 8-3). The Mayor started out the meeting saying that section of the code had never been acted on since its adoption in 1956.

Somehow that failed to give us a lot of comfort. It is kind of like saying to a homeowner that since his house had not burned down since 1956, there was really no need to have it insured.
