The “farm to table” experience is not new, but it’s getting lots of attention nation wide as people are becoming more concerned about how food is grown and processed. As a child growing up on a small farm in Winn Parish, my parents practiced “farm to table.” We grew everything we ate. My mother went to the grocery store for just a few items: flour, sugar and salt. All the rest came from our farm.
