GRAMBLING — Time was not on Grambling State University’s side in Saturday’s season opener against Alabama A&M as the Tigers fell 23-9 at Robinson Stadium.

A young team, untimely miscues and even a malfunctioning game clock were some of the frustrations Grambling coach Doug Williams faced as he watched his team fall behind early in the second quarter.
