Kristen Nicole James and David Larche Watters were united in marriage in a 6 p.m. ceremony May 18 at First United Methodist Church in Shreveport. Their ceremony was officiated by Dr. Pat Day.

The bride is the daughter of Ms. Karen Golden James, of Ruston, and Mr. Donald James, of Mobile, Ala. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Grady C. Golden, Sr., of Shreveport, and Ms. Lonnette Golden, of Saline, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Gentry James of Arcadia.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Larche Watters, of Benton. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Grant Watters, of Bastrop, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Ray, of Bastrop.

Given in marriage by her parents and presented by her father, the bride chose a beautiful gown of chic organza and tulle caught up in a magnificent, softly, bustled skirt. The elegant bodice featured a soft sweetheart neckline and corset closure, creating a focal point at the natural waist. The lavishly beaded belt of Swarovski crystals created an elegant floral pattern that was attached to a graceful, chapel-length train. The elegant gown was designed by Maggie Sottero of Salt Lake City, Utah.

Jennifer Ellingburg served as the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Katherine Krzystyniak, Casey Desalvo, Jenna Segner and Mary Katherine Clancy. Cohen Golden served as the flower girl.

Hollis Grisham served as the best man. Groomsmen were Steven Susla, Derek Flower, Chris Cummings and Dow Eldridge. John Desalvo served as ring bearer.
Ushering guest into the ceremony were Trey Golden, Levi Golden, Austin Fellows, Brian Ledoux, Joe Gullatt and Dane Harris.

Programs were presented to the guest as they entered into the sanctuary by Ansley Tipton and Karen Grisham. Attending the guest book was Sydney Brittain. Beautiful music was provided by the Organist, Ray Peebles; Pianist, Margene Watters; and Violinist, Elizabeth Beck. Scriptures chosen by the couple were read by Kelly Sharpton.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Petroleum Club in Shreveport.
