Private schools kick off new year

After a longer period of closure than usual thanks to the novel coronavirus pandemic, some area schools have reopened for the 2020-21 school year over the past few days.

Cedar Creek School’s first day of class for most grades was Thursday, while pictured above are new Pre-K students touring the campus with their stuffed animal friends on Friday.

Meanwhile, Montessori School of Ruston held its first day of school Monday. Pictured below, Montessori students Teddy Morrow (left) and Emily Russell (right) are shown working on projects while masked. Lincoln Parish public schools start class today.
