Methodist Children’s Home benefits from Kappa Delta Shamrock event

Despite navigating the ongoing pandemic, the 2021 Shamrock event culminated in a successful 5K Run and Fun Walk at Lincoln Parish Park on March 20. The multi-event fundraiser allowed Louisiana Tech University’s Kappa Delta sorority to promote awareness while collecting more than $40,608 for the Louisiana Methodist Children’s Home and Prevent Child Abuse America.

With 20% of the proceeds benefitting the national child abuse organization, 80% will be designated to support local efforts. Thanks to the support from sponsors, vendors, participants, and volunteers, the KD sisterhood will then present just over $8,100 to the national philanthropy with more than $32,400 earmarked for the Methodist Children’s Home.
