The Lincoln Parish fire station located on Hwy. 3072 that was heavily damaged during Hurricane Laura last August could be back in operation this spring, parish fire Chief Kevin Reynolds said Friday.

The Rolling Hills Station took a hit from a large tree that fell onto the side of the metal building and across one of the bay doors. The fire truck inside was not damaged, Reynolds said.

Repairs to the building are expected to cost about $45,000. Trucks from the main station in Vienna, as well as the stations on Chandler Road and Hwy. 822 are answering calls from the area typically served by the Rollings Hills Station.

The Rollings Hills Station is among the newest of the parish fire protection district’s 21 stations.
