A Downsville man who reportedly fired an electric nail gun at a Ruston elementary school, and later mimicked pulling a weapon from the backseat of his vehicle and shooting at the people who were reporting him to police, now faces a criminal mischief charge.
GRAMBLING — Multiplatinum recording artist, actor, and entrepreneur, Earl “E-40” Stevens expanded his philanthropic reach with a $100,000 donation to Grambling State University.
Jessica and Margarite are two teens who wanted to have a boyfriend and feel special. Each of these girls sent nude photos of themselves to their new boyfriends. When the couples broke up, the boyfriends each forwarded the photos to others, along with phrases such as “Ho Alert” and “Porno Queen.”
GRAMBLING — The Department of Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) at Grambling State University (GSU) is putting a new twist on a play that first ran off-Broadway in 1995 when it presents “ Crumbs from the Table of Joy.” Written by Lynn Nottage and adapted and directed for this production by GSU VAPA instructor Laura D. Oliver, the play will be presented at 7 p.m. Feb. 14-17 with an additional 10 a.m. matinee showing on Feb. 17.
Ruston’s Board of Aldermen is expected to vote Monday on a pair of ordinances that, if approved, open the way for a hotel and entertainment center to be built at the municipal sports complex.
GRAMBLING — The city of Grambling should receive the formal notice to proceed on a long-awaited water and sewer upgrade project next month. That means the citywide work can begin this summer, city council members learned Thursday.
