Ebola has made its way to the U.S.

in

Ebola started in the western tip of Africa. It was in countries like Sierra Leone, Senegal, Nigeria and many more. If you come in contact with an infected person’s body fluids, you chance getting the virus. It’s also spread by touching the corpse of a person who had Ebola.
Tens of thousands of people have died in those countries from Ebola. And the death toll is rising. There have been survivors like Dr. Kent Brantly and Nancy Writebol. They were given advanced treatments here in America.

Halloween favorite holiday for work purposes

in
DeGrie, Elizabeth 2014.jpg

While Christmas is my overall favorite holiday, when it comes to holidays at the Ruston Daily Leader, Halloween and Thanksgiving are my favorite.
Thanksgiving is the No. 1. That’s because, for just a little while, we as a newspaper family take a little break to enjoy food, express our thankfulness for each other and spend some time together. How to do anything you can possibly do

in
Moore, Byron.jpg

Question: I have friends who just seem naturally good with money. Unfortunately, I am not like that. But I know I’ve got to get my act together and do better. Is this just a matter of being more disciplined to spend less, or is there more to it?
Answer: A lot more.
But the good news is: you can do it.
I have a book in my head I want to write called, “How to Do Anything You Can Possibly Do.” I know. At first you read that and say, “Huh?”

Tips to avoid these scary investment moves

in
Fallin, Randy 2014.jpg

NEDHSA, Conway work to increase psychiatric inpatient capacity

in

Northeast Delta Human Services Authority announced recently additional work with University Health Conway to further impact the treatment of people who experience a mental health crisis.
“Because there are not enough psychiatric inpatient beds to treat all of the people who need help in our region, people with mental health issues are sometimes held in jail, sometimes commit crimes and drive up emergency room traffic and cost,” said Dr. Monteic A. Sizer, NE Delta HSA executive director.
