Glen Grayson Grigsby

A Celebration of Life for Glen Grayson Grigsby, 85, of Ruston, LA will be held Saturday, June 30, 2018 (2 PM), at Temple Baptist Church in Ruston, LA. Dr. Reggie Bridges and Rev. Dale Oden will officiate the service. A private family committal will be held under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes of Ruston. Visitation will be Friday, June 29, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Temple Baptist Church. Glen passed at his residence Wednesday, June 27, 2018. A life-long resident of Lincoln Parish, Glen was born September 6, 1932 in a home near Simsboro, Louisiana to Chester Poole Grigsby, Sr.

Florine Verelle

On August 12, 1922, Florine Verelle was born and welcomed by her parents, Dr. Charles Smith and his wife, Clara, and her big brother Frellsen, who was already fourteen and a half years old. The family resided in Oak Grove, Louisiana, where Dr. Smith had practiced medicine for several years. Shortly before Florine was born, however, he had given up his medical practice and entered the evangelistic ministry. The family moved to Ruston in 1924 so that Frellsen could go to Tech. The move also gave Dr. Smith opportunity to start the Ruston Church of God in his family home.

Joseph "Everett" Flowers

Joseph “Everett” Flowers, 69, died Saturday, June 16, 2018, surrounded by family at his home in Quitman, AR after a lengthy illness. Everett is survived by his wife of 39 years, Barbara Sue (Milligan) Flowers; his four children: Dena McDaniel, Jason Flowers, Robert Flowers, and Sarah Goodwin; three brothers: Marvin Flowers, Ray Flowers, and Allen Flowers; one sister, Deborah Jones; and seven beloved grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen (Barmore) Flowers; his father, Larance E. Flowers; his brother, Larry D.

Hazel Greenwood Douglas passed away on June 8, 2018, at 99 years old. Hazel was born on June 4, 1919. She was an educator for 50+ years and has educated thousands of students from day care to college. As a proud alumnus of the Louisiana Negro Normal and Industrial Institute, (Now Grambling State University), she served in multiple organizations within the Grambling community.

Stephanie Anne Wynne

With broken hearts, the family of Stephanie Anne Wynne announce that on Thursday, June 7 Stephanie passed away following a lengthy illness. Stephanie leaves to mourn her husband Robert (Bob) Wynne, beloved daughter Mary Elizabeth, mother Mary Bruss, sister Carolyn Bruss, and brother Stephen Bruss (Elizabeth), and extended family and friends in Canada and the United States. She was predeceased by her brother Donald and father Paul Bruss. The family extends heartfelt gratitude for the outstanding professionalism and compassion of the staff at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.

Funeral services for Mrs. Marguerite Guice, age 89, are scheduled for 2 PM Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Bonita Road Baptist Church with Rev. Casey Johnson and Rev. Andy Myrick officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, Monroe, LA.

Gloria Trude

Gloria Diana Ross Trude, 75, of Ruston, passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 in Ruston. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 8, from 5-7 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston, LA.
Gloria was a homemaker. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Austin and Neva Ross, and a sister, Jeanette Ross Leamons. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, James Frank Trude, of Ruston, and her son, Frank Ross Trude, of Havana, Arkansas.
Memorials may be made to the Methodist Children's Home, 901 S. Vienna Street, Ruston, LA 71270.

James Kilgore

A celebration of the life of James Henry Kilgore will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Vienna, LA at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6. Visitation will be at the church beginning at 1 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Vienna Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home. Rev. Bill Reid and Rev. Joe Aulds will officiate the service.
