Instead of flying to El Paso Wednesday morning as originally scheduled, Tyler Summitt and the Louisiana Tech Lady Techster basketball team practiced at Scotty Robertson Memorial Gym for two hours.
Summitt and Co. were scheduled to fly out of Monroe mid-morning but due to the winter weather that blanketed east Texas and north Louisiana, flights were cancelled.
The travel issues forced Tech, Conference USA, UTEP and UTSA officials to work together to figure out alternate plans with the Lady Techsters now forced to attempt to get to Dallas and fly out late Thursday morning.
