At Christmas in 1969, I was four years old, with five brothers (two sisters would come a few years later) and living the best life on Adelaide Street in Natchitoches. The season brought to our family lots of Christmas baking, car rides at night to look at yards decorated for four-year-old feasting eyes, and – the most anticipated activity – the family gathering for the CBS presentation of “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.”
