The National Football League Draft will begin tonight, and for the first time in years I don’t plan to tune in or even check up on it. In fact, I haven’t paid much attention to the build-up in the past few weeks at all.
This year, for me, the weeks of speculation on the draft have been dwarfed by a much larger, more pressing anticipation. Eleven years of it.
You see, when “Avengers: Endgame” hits theaters tonight, the Marvel Cinematic Universe will complete a story it’s been crafting since 2008, a story that’s been a part of my life the entire way.
