Man arrested on aggravated rape charge

A man is in jail on charges of aggravated rape and molestation of a juvenile.
The Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested William T. Stewart, 59, on Monday. The sheriff’s office received a report of an alleged rape of a juvenile on Nov. 24.

Southern Belles visit Alpine Nursing Home

The ladies of Southern Belles, a nonprofit organization in Lincoln Parish, recently visited the residents of Alpine Nursing Home. They passed out fleece blankets to each resident. Some of those receiving blankets were Marjorie Desardi, Genetha Levingston and Otis Holland. They also sang Christmas carols and visited with residents.
