Grambling’s Community Garden is beginning to take root. Volunteers gathered Monday evening to plant the first vegetables in the garden located at the corner of College and Gum streets. The garden has 28 rows, each of which is 70 feet long. Several varieties of tomatoes, peppers, squash, and watermelons, along with the okra, peas and cantaloupes will be planted in the garden.
