NWS elevates fire danger under drought conditions

Lincoln Parish is not under a burn ban, but worsening drought conditions have elevated fire danger, the National Weather Service said Thursday. The NWS issued a fire danger statement advising area residents to restrict or avoid any outdoor burning. No rain is expected through the next seven days, the weather service said.
