Kelley Moseley Valentine, 55, of Homer, LA. went to be with our Lord on Oct. 17, 2017. She is survived by her husband Mitch Valentine of Homer, her son J.W. Brookshire (Leslie) of Shreveport, Stepchildren Dustin and Tara. Her parents Carolyn Sue Jones of Dallas, Loyd Moseley (Mary) of Ferris, Tx. Brothers Keith Moseley (Linda), Wade Moseley (Kelli), Gerald Loyd (Cecilia) & Lane Moseley. Grandchildren Bryce, Sam, Hunter, Alyssa, & Brooklyn. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Zachariah Lord Wasson

Zachariah Lord Wasson, 64, of Choudrant, LA passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at his home following a lengthy battle with cancer. Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 20, 2017 at St. James Episcopal Church- Holy Eucharist with lunch to follow (3921 Oakridge Drive, Jackson, MS 39216).
Zachariah was born on May 14, 1953 in Shady Grove, MS to David and Evelyn Wasson. He earned an MBA and CPA, was CFO of Origin Bank, and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Dr. Jarrett Hudnall, Jr.

Dr. Jarrett Hudnall, Jr., died October 15, in Ruston, Louisiana, surrounded by family and friends. A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at Owens Memorial Chapel in Ruston. The family will receive visitors at Owens starting at 1 pm; funeral services will be at 3 pm. Jarrett will be buried in his family plot at Thurmond-Fairview Cemetery in Rhome, TX.

Irvin Baker Albritton, age 87, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, October 12, 2017. Visitation will be Saturday from 12:30-1:30 P.M. at Owens Memorial Chapel followed by a graveside service at Greenwood Cemetery at 2:00 P.M. in Ruston under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home. Dr. Reggie Bridges will be officiating.

Kenneth Edward Riggin was called home by the Lord on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 in Choudrant, Louisiana. He passed away in the comfort of his home surrounded by family and friends after a 3 year battle with cancer.

John David Logan, Jr.

Graveside services for Mr. John David Logan, Jr., age 88 of Ruston, will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday,October 14, 2017 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Ruston with Rev. Leslie Stevens officiating. Services are under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.

Lester Kethan Sisemore

Lester Kethan Sisemore, 71, passed away at his family's home on October 9, 2017 after a lengthy illness. Lester was born in Fort Worth, Texas on February 5, 1946. Lester graduated from Louisiana Tech University and the University of Oklahoma with a Ph.D in Physics. His successful career as a geophysicist was in the oil and gas industry.

Funeral services for Danni Madden will be 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at First Baptist Church, Dubach. Brother Cory Bruce will officiate. Interment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Ruston.
Danni was born on August 1, 1985 and passed away after a lengthy illness on October 7, 2017 in Dubach, LA. She was a retired nurse.

Linda Gail Lummus, 71 passed away at 11:11 A.M. on October 5, 2017 of natural causes. Linda was born September 8, 1946 in Ashland Kentucky. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday October 7, 2017 at Ansley Cemetery in Ansley, La under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Ruston.

Mrs. Gene Hall


Peacefully, at home, on October 2, 2017, Mrs. Gene Hall left this earth for her heavenly home. Born to Harris Morton Allen and Mary Clair Hardison Allen on July 1, 1922, Mrs. Hall spent her early years with her farm family in Caney Springs, TN. As a teen, she moved to Birmingham, AL., and later earned a B.S. in secretarial science from Alabama College, State College for Women in Montevallo, AL. She met her husband Dr. David M. Hall while working as a medical secretary at the University of Alabama’s new medical school in Birmingham. They came to Ruston in the early 1950s, and Dr.
