FARMERVILLE — A Monroe man was killed Sunday when the single-engine aircraft he was piloting crashed into Lake D’Arbonne. Union Parish Sheriff Dusty Gates said the Federal Aviation Administration will likely order an autopsy to determine how 71-year-old David Lockard died. Lockard’s Facebook profile states he was employed by Ruston Aviation. Someone answering the phone at Ruston Aviation this morning said they could not confirm he was employed by the company. 9-1-1 dispatchers received a call Sunday at 5:04 p.m. from residents living near the crash site area reporting a plane had gone into...
