The pet population in Lincoln Parish has reached critical levels. More than 150 animals have had to be turned away from local pet adoption rescue organization 4 Paws in the past few months.

Being recognized as a top university in the country one time is quite the accomplishment.
But being acknowledged six consecutive years is simply outstanding.
Louisiana Tech University was ranked in its highest tier of National Universities by U.S. News & World Report for the sixth consecutive year, according to its 2017 Best Colleges list.
Tech and Louisiana State University were the only two public institutions in the state to achieve tier one status, while Tulane University, a private school in New Orleans, also received a tier one ranking.
