Broken main belongs to city
Grambling Director of Public Works and Services Calvin Wortham said that at the point of the break the GSU water main and a city main run parallel about four feet apart.
“The water main break was the city’s,” Wortham said. “When the break was discovered, GSU assumed it was their line, so they shut down their system as a precaution. We provided assistance with a backhoe and other equipment to help the university, but when excavation began, we discovered the line was ours.”
