s you go to your summer homes to bask in your shallow life, may you choke on it. You go home leaving necessary and valuable legislation regarding these child war refugees at our southern border. If these children were anywhere else in the world, we would be sending food, water, money, and housing. Yet, on our own soil we waffle, accusatory, and push for removal of these war refugees ASAP. No wonder some nations label us as hypocrites. Witness this; we don’t even help refugees from our own hemisphere.
The Sparta Shoot Sporting Clay Competition sponsored by Linn Energy was held on June 4 at the Ouachita Parish Shooting Range in West Monroe.
The use of the facility was donated to the Sparta Foundation by Ouachita Parish Sheriff Jay Russell, a long time supporter of the Sparta Foundation’s water conservation education efforts in north Louisiana.
This event is a fundraiser to support the WaterFest education programs conducted by the Sparta Foundation in Lincoln, Union, Bienville, and Webster Parishes.
