Stepping into the current facilities of the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office is much like stepping back in time. The offices, located on the ground floor and basement of the Lincoln Parish Courthouse, were built in 1950 and although not much has changed structurally, when it comes to law enforcement, it’s a whole different ball game, said Sheriff Mike Stone.
“When I started in 1976 we had 471 calls for service that whole year,” Stone said. “Last year, we had 16,000.”
