LPECC a perfect fit
The hallways at the Lincoln Parish Early Childhood Center look like a traditional elementary school. But inside the classes, visitors won’t find any neat rows of desks or children quietly taking notes.
Instead, visitors will find a bustle of activity with a slight hint of organized chaos. For a large portion of the day, students drift freely between various learning centers designed to teach them math, science, reading, dramatic play and tons of other things.
Cathi Pesnell, LPECC director, said the design is one proven to be ideal for teaching grade level expectations to 4-year-olds.
