Funeral services for Mr. Norman Jack Ross, age 85 of Ruston, will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, January 14, 2011 at Owens Memorial Chapel in Ruston with Pastor Paul McCormack officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Ruston under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.  Mr. Ross was born August 12, 1925 in Spencer, Nebraska and died January 9, 2011 in Ruston.  He was a retired Electronics Technician for the Federal Aviation Administration.  He served his country in the US Navy during WWII.  Mr. Ross was a member and Past Commander of American Legion Post 662 in Sgt. Bluff Iowa.  He was also a member of St Paul Lutheran Church in Ruston. Mr. Ross is survived by his wife Marthalene Joan Bauer Ross; one daughter:  Linda and husband Woody Whittington of Ruston; two sons:  Norman Kent Ross and wife Lee of Aurora Colorado and Michael Leroy Ross of Ruston; four grandchildren:  Patti and husband Wayne Sand, Tiffany-Zarah
 and husband Jerry Bumpass of Sulphur, Oklahoma; Jachin Whittington of Houston, Texas and Lazarus Whittington of Ruston;  Four great grandchildren:  Whitnee, Alyssa, Zoe and Katelynn;  two brothers:  LaVerne Ross of Spencer, Iowa and Marvin Ross of Lakewood, Colorado as well as numerous nieces and nephews.Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Owens Memorial Chapel in Ruston.  To leave an online memorial message for the family, please visit www.owensmemorialfuneralhome.com
