VILLAGE OF CHOUDRANT
November 1, 2010
The Village of Choudrant Town Council met in regular session. Present were Mayor Bill Sanderson, Alderman Ragan Aswell, Alderwoman Gereline Morrison, clerk Celeste Butler, and guests. Alderman John O’Neal was absent. Meeting was called to order at 7:06 p.m. by Mayor Sanderson. Mayor Sanderson gave prayer. Motion to approve the agenda was made by Alderman Aswell, seconded by Alderwoman Morrison. Motion to approve the minutes of October 4, 2010 was made by Alderman Aswell, seconded by Alderwoman Morrison. Approved. Financial Report- Mayor Sanderson presented the financial report. Police Report –24 tickets and 6 warning tickets
Chief Milner asked to council to consider a donation to the Canine Interdiction Agency, a volunteer agency that rescues and trains dogs to become drug detecting dogs. The agency places dogs with Police departments at no charge to the department. Motion was made by Alderwoman Morrison, seconded by Alderman Aswell to authorize the issuance of a donation to the Canine Interdiction Agency when they assist the Village of Choudrant Police Department in drug searches. Approved.
Fire Report – 12 alarms – 8 grass fires and 4 MVAs

Mayor Sanderson updated the council on the Fire Station 2 Construction. Motion to adjourn was made by Alderman Aswell. Alderwoman Morrison seconded the motion. Meeting adjourned at 7:35.
