Funeral services for Mr. Charles Everett Holloway, age 79 of Ruston, will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, December 10, 2010 at Owens Memorial Chapel in Ruston with Bro. Steve Ellis and Bro. Jerreld Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Ruston under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston. Mr. Holloway was born January 24, 1931 in Lincoln Parish to Idge Holloway and Dossie Holloway.  He passed away peacefully at his home on December 7, 2010.  He was a lifelong member of Lincoln Parish and well known throughout the community.  He served as a school bus driver before retirement. He loved to sit outside and welcomed the company of friends and neighbors. He was a compassionate and loving husband, father, practical joker and friend to all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers Warren G. Holloway, J.R. Holloway, J.B. Holloway & Marvin Holloway, a sister Shirley Voda & a grandson Glen Ward. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lucille Hayden Holloway; one son:  James Holloway and wife Cheryl of Homer; one daughter:  Kathy Holloway of Ruston; four grandchildren:  Christy and husband Mike Matkovich of Ft. Mills, SC, Sam Mathewes and Michael Clark of Brattleboro, VT and Deane and husband Nickie Currington of Dubach;  Four great grandchildren:  Peyton and Riley Matkovich, Elizabeth Parker and Nicholas Currington; sisters:  Dot Flowers and Nellie Theodos, both of Ruston; sisters-in-law: Nancy Taunton of Dubach and Shelby and husband Joe Nolan of Ashland, AL as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday, December 9, 2010 at Owens Memorial Chapel in Ruston. The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. A.
