Cash in on library investment
If you won a free trip, would you turn it down? What about free tickets to an athletic event?
In this society obsessed with getting their money’s worth, it’s amazing how often people bypass amenities for which they have already paid.
The Lincoln Parish Library is a prime example. On Tuesday, the parish’s voters approved a 10-year continuation of a property tax to fund the library. That means businesses, landlords and homeowners whose property is worth more than $75,000 are investing to keep the library thriving.
And the library is pretty impressive as far as its variety of offerings, which range from free computer with Internet usage to movie showings.
