Ribbon cutting ceremonies were held recently for Burkes Outlet, located at 309 N. Service Road in the Interstate 20 Shopping Center. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was sponsored by the Ruston-Lincoln Chamber of Commerce.

Local students and parents will have access to another resource that they lost at the end of the last school year.
The Foundation for the Mid South announced earlier today the two Louisiana grant recipients of the 2010 Foundation for the Mid South Do-Gooders campaign. The nonprofit organizations will receive $50,000 grants to further their efforts to improve lives.
More than 1,300 Louisiana Tech University students met at Joe Aillet Stadium to get instructions for Tech’s Student Government Association 2015 Big Event, a service to those in need throughout the Lincoln parish community. SGA leaders and other student organizations were spread all around town on Saturday morning to help areas in need.
