Columbine father to speak Saturday
After sending students back to school, parents and other community members will have the chance to hear the story of Rachel Scott, a victim of the Columbine High School massacre.
Rachel’s father, Darrell Scott, will share the tale at 7 p.m. Saturday at Temple Baptist Church. Scott will share his daughter’s story, which he has been doing since her death through an organization he founded called Rachel’s Challenge.
Larry Emory, pastor of Longstraw Baptist Church, asked Scott to come to the area. Because of the large crowd expected, Emory said Temple agreed to host the event.
