Schools plan to aid at-risk students
Administrators want to begin the proposed new program in September, in time for the 2009-10 school year.
According to Willie Washington, Title 1 supervisor, these two schools have the highest number of at-risk elementary students in Ruston. Although both programs would be voluntary, families will be wise to take advantage of them if students are struggling.
With so much riding on students passing standardized tests and achieving grade level expectations, the Lincoln Parish School System continues to develop new and innovative ways to reach out to those who need a little more help.
