Group moves to pump up Sparta smarts
Gouedy, who will graduate from Louisiana Tech with a degree in agriculture business in August, will work through the summer implementing a number of ideas and programs she hopes will increase the public’s knowledge of the depleting Sparta aquifer.
“I’m excited and already at work trying to set up some programs that will start in the summer and into next year,” Gouedy said. “We’re focusing on Lincoln, Ouachita, Claiborne and Jackson parishes. The way we’re trying to set these programs up is to make it so that they’ll be fairly easy next fall, even when the internship ends.”
