But, it’s not just north Louisiana that will benefit from this bill. While some legislators from down south like to complain about the perceived unfairness of the deal struck between the state and Foster Farms to buy out the Farmerville plant, the simple truth is that all of Louisiana will be affected.

Massive job losses anywhere have a trickle-down effect. Plus, south Louisiana also has a hand in this game. Cold storage units used in the poultry industry are located south of I-10 and also would take a hit if the deal falls through.
