Sims muder trial delayed
Assistant Second Judicial District Attorney Doug Stokes said Tuesday accused murderer Wayne Guidry has not filed the motions he assured the court would be filed, necessitating the delay.
“He said he would file, but his mother passed away, and he convinced the judge he needed more time to prepare some motions for his defense,” Stokes said. “The judge agreed so when he (Guidry) files, we will get a hearing on his motions and we will then proceed to trial.”
Stokes said he hopes any motions Guidry files are cleared up within 30 days.
