Guerin said the university’s housing division was working on accommodation plans.
“We’ll provide shelter and accommodations for as long as they need,” Guerin said. “We’re estimating between 200-250 Nicholls students, but we’re so much in a state of flux right now.”
Tech has also been lined up as a special-needs patient shelter, he said.
“Memorial Gym has essentially been federalized,” Guerin said. “Equipment and medical supplies are being dropped off, and we expect patients and staff some time on Sunday.”
