The bill represents a deep step forward in our “right to know” that empowers the media and individuals to question and criticize government beyond the powers that we currently enjoy.

The Senate and Governmental Affairs Committee swatted down Waddell’s House-passed bill 3-2. Our district senator, Monroe’s Bob Kostelka, was one of the three voting it down, along with Sen. Mike Walsworth.

Walsworth has sponsored a bill that competes directly with the goal of Waddell’s.
