The mayor, on the other hand, has kept all information close to her vest, even having her daughter volunteer her time in the town hall to try to help while investigators ferret out the breach, whatever that may be.

State Police investigators alluded to a possible theft or misappropriation of funds, and that in itself is concerning. Having the mayor’s daughter in the building is also an ethical issue that cannot be explained away by saying she is only volunteering there.
