Union Board plans school revamps if millage OK’d

The Union Parish School Board is striving for the majority vote on a millage proposal May 5. If the millage is passed, the board plans on making major upgrades to all seven school sites in the district, which will include a complete renovation of the elementary schools — Bernice, Farmerville, Marion and Spearsville.

UPSB transportation and maintenance director Lyn Kenly has put together a comprehensive plan, complete with conceptual images of what the board hopes will change the course of public education for Union Parish.
