Community celebrates King’s life
“It’s a day with a purpose; a group of people get together in remembrance of a good man,” she said. “It’s a day to look forward to.”
Martin Pardue, a junior engineering education major at Tech, said it is his first time participating in the day’s events. He is taking a class about diversity and was encouraged to attend the march.
“Really I wanted to just come see what was going on and see if Dr. King’s dream is really coming true,” he said.
