Waters, Allen announce engagement
Roy and Marlen Waters, of Ruston, are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Meg Waters, of Ruston, to Heath Allen, of Kilbourne.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late William L. and Elaine May and the late T.H. “Muddy” and Ruth Waters. She is a 2003 graduate of Ruston High School and a 2008 graduate of Park University in Parkville, Mo., with a degree in Interior Design. Meg was elected president of the student government and received the Outstanding Student Award while at Park University. She is currently employed as a designer with Woodvale Interiors in Ruston. She is a member of Russ Town Society where she has served as president and chairman of Downtown Delights.
Heath is the son of Edward and Debbie Allen, of Kilbourne, and is the grandson of Huey and Katie Allen and Frances Wylie, all of Kilbourne and the late Clyde Wylie. He is a graduate of Kilbourne High School and a 2008 graduate of Louisiana Tech University. Heath is currently employed with St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe as a registered nurse.
The couple plan to wed in a six p.m. ceremony April 6 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Ruston.
