Visiting an old, familiar place
Growing up, most children visit a library at least once a week, mostly during the school year. However, for those kids from Farmerville making the long bus ride to and from Cedar Creek five days a week, the library becomes almost like a second home.
Like so many school kids before me and many more after me, I made that trip every day until my older sister earned her driver’s license. In the morning, it was always a mad dash to get to the bus before it pulled away from its centralized pick-up location of the Union Parish Library.
