Lt. Tim Parker with the Ruston Police Department was working at the event on crowd detail, and brought his wife and son early. They lined up between 3 and 4 p.m. to see the train pull into town.
“When Brett found out the train was coming, he just went nuts,” Parker said of his son. “He loves trains. We told him that if he was good in school all week, he’d get to see something special.”
