As part of the more than $3.5 billion designated for Louisiana, the bill contains a $2 million authorization for the Union-Lincoln Water Supply project that will help identify alternative sources of water to decrease dependence on the Sparta Aquifer.

Our local representatives in Washington, including Sens. Mary Landrieu and David Vitter along with Rep. Rodney Alexander, deserve special thanks for voting to protect our precious waterways.
