Plane battles begin in pre-k
Melane Slocum is the teacher, and Miranda Warren is the class paraprofessional who also holds a degree in psychology from Dillard University in New Orleans. In her first month working with the class, Warren observed some of the children finding it a challenge to get along. Consequently, the students are receiving lessons in sharing and good manners, along with math and reading concepts.
“If we have two airplanes, some will want to keep both instead of sharing with another child,” Warren said.
