In what was a passionate and inspired effort by the Techster senior class, the Louisiana Tech volleyball team was unable to overcome Utah State as the Aggies slipped by Tech in five sets (18-25, 25-20, 25-26, 22-25, 15-9) Monday night at the Thomas Assembly Center.
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Louisiana Tech could not pull off the road upset as they fell, 1-0, to WKU on Sunday afternoon at the WKU Soccer Complex.
With the loss, Tech (7-5, 0-2 Conference USA) was unable to pick up any points in the opening weekend of Conference USA action.
“Once again, one mistake at the back and poor finishing cost us the game,” head coach Kevin Sherry said. “Our defender gave up the space behind for their striker to finish 1v1 behind our back line. It was a huge mistake in the context of the game and the season.
