When Superstorm Sandy tore though the Northeast in late October, she brought considerable devastation, causing loss of lives, power and property.
New Jersey and New York reportedly bore the brunt of the destruction, and the Marines have stepped in to help with cleanup efforts.
Cpl. Mark Baugh, a field radio operator and native of Ruston, is among the Marines from the 8th Engineer Support Battalion, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, who are in New York to support humanitarian operations with the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
