Safety seats too vital

She hit another car. He was catapulted through the vehicle’s windshield over the air bag, which deployed. His injuries are grave, but he still lives. He’s lucky.

Children under age six are required by law to be restrained in a child seat, and failure to comply may result not only in a fine or license suspension for the adult, but injury or death for the child.

It’s an inexcusable situation. Not securing a child safely in a safety seat is a matter of not taking the time to care about that child’s well-being.
