Russ House set to Scare Away cancer
The community is invited to the Russ House on the evening of Oct. 19 to hear speakers, listen to live music and have some free dinner during the Scaring Away Breast Cancer event.
Held in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the night will feature a hot dog bar, music by the Back Forty bluegrass group, breast cancer survivor speakers and a scarecrow contest.
The event is planned from 5-7 p.m.
“This will be a huge community event where we try to bring everyone here,” Russ House residence sales manager Jessica Hughes said. “We’re just trying to represent breast cancer.”
