The Townsend House Gifts is overflowing with pumpkins.
As an annual fundraiser, the business hosts the Pumpkin Patch, with sales to benefit the Domestic Abuse Resistance Team.
“This will be the eighth year that we have done this,” said Townsend House owner Kim Birch, a former DART board member. “We chose DART for our organization to support, because I believe there is a strong need for that. Survivors come from all walks of life — they could be your neighbor or your friend. They are faceless. You don’t know who they are. It could be you one day.”
