Time to consider
Due to some residents’ concerns, the Ruston City Council will not be voting on the new proposed zoning ordinances in October.
Instead, action has been pushed back until the November council meeting.
“This is to provide more time for public input and any modifications,” Ruston Mayor Dan Hollingsworth said. “We had a request from a group of people who felt like they didn’t have time to look at it, so it was decided that it should be pushed back at least another 30 days.”
Planning and Zoning Commission Chair Travis DeFreese said the zoning code consideration has also been taken off the agenda for Monday’s Planning and Zoning Commission meeting and will instead be considered at their next meeting.
